As the former director of the Juneau-Douglas High School, I can't begin to say enough about the teaching ability of Sharon Hatch. I avidly encouraged all of my woodwind students to study with Sharon. Over the years it was the woodwind students that were studying with her that excelled in my bands. These were many of the students that were accepted for Southeast Alaska Honor Band and Alaska All State Honors Band. They were also the students under her tutelage, who played in the ensembles and solos at the Southeast Alaska Music Festival, and that received the highest honors. She is quite simply the instructor with the best results of any private teacher with whom I have ever worked. She was adored by her students and they worked diligently to impress her.
As a parent I'm sure you want your child to excel in the activities in which they are involved. We all do!
