Lessons are private and will be scheduled once a week for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes. I go at the student’s pace and tailor each lesson to the student’s abilities and goals. Beginners will be taught using a classic note reading approach. Students will be taught proper technique on their specific instrument for good tone production. All students will use a lesson book(s) as a foundation for the lesson. For someone who is not a beginner on their instrument, I will give an assessment of their skill level before having them purchase a lesson book. Other music based on the student’s style preference will be introduced as the student’s abilities increase. I expect students to practice regularly (five days a week) and will guide in various practice techniques. Parents are requested to stay during the lesson for children under 16 years of age.
